Japan offered aid to Libya
Japan is ready to assist Libya in the construction of a new state.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Koichiro Gemba, “We hope that an interim government will be launched soon and an environment to fully reconstruct the country will be in position”.
The Minister also said that Japan has received a request from the government of Libya to provide artificial limbs for victims. Japan is ready to provide this assistance free of charge via the relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said that the circumstances surrounding the death of Muammar Gaddafi required investigation.
