Organization on tourism promotion in Tohoku will provide objective information about the state of tourism in the region since March 2011

Beijing, May 11, PrimaMedia. Tourism exhibition, held annually in Primorye, is breaking all records this year. More than 120 companies and organizations have already confirmed their participation in it, including 66 – from abroad. The participation of the Tohoku region affected by the earthquake and tsunami last March deserves great respect. And the arguments that the remote places, even Japanese are not interesting for the tourist, are very, very misleading. Tohoku region covers a whole range of attractions. Their presentation will be held at the XVI Pacific International Tourism Exhibition PITE, RIA PrimaMedia reports.

Tohoku region is a region in eastern Japan on Honshu Island. The center of the region is Miyagi Prefecture. The region consists of six prefectures: Akita, Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and Yamagata. Primorye citizens are familiar with the potential of some prefectures such as Akita, which business center works in Vladivostok. Other prefectures are less “explored” by the citizens of Primorye. However, the prefectures of Tohoku region also dream of expanding contacts with the Primorye. Hence the desire to participate in the tourism forum, to give objective information about the state of tourism after the events of March 2011, demonstrate the most beautiful parts of nature, which come in numerous top lists.

Tohoku is a combination of breathtaking natural landscapes, craftsmanship of local residents, unique summer festivals that highlight the culture and history of the area, etc.

Sendai is the gateway to the Tohoku region. There is nothing here that could remind you of a tsunami. In addition to the aircraft, it takes you less than 2 hours to get there from Tokyo on board the “Shinkansen”. And then, where you wish.

Companies of Miyagi prefecture, working in the tourism sector, are active in attracting Japanese and foreign travelers to their region. They deal with a wide route network, which can give advantage to tourists, and the presence of signs in different languages, and the convenience of museums, transportation, etc.

Many tourists use Sendai as the beginning of the trip to Matsushima. You can get this miracle of nature from Sendai in just a half an hour. Matsushima has a reputation of one of three most beautiful places in Japan. The city, founded in the 12th century, is known for its picturesque bay with 280 islands. There is even a special route “Four great views of Matsushima”.

Iwate Prefecture is interesting to tourists visiting the city of Hiraizumi, part of which is a world heritage of UNESCO. In addition to admiring the unique temples, which history is more than a century, it is possible to travel through the picturesque deep gorge. Here come two kinds of tourists – local climbers who wish to make a trip on a traditional Japanese boat on the river along the gorge. The height of the cliffs is over 50 meters. Tourist can admire wonderful views – numerous gorges, caves and waterfalls. You can get out of the boat and walk on a wide cliff with small holes. Many people buy “lucky stones” and try to get into the holes in the cliff, as it brings fortune! There is a lot of fish in the river, everyone can feed them from the boat. The village has a museum of paper-making history, where all stages of the paper-making process are illustrated with miniature figures. Best time to visit the gorge is autumn, when the slopes are covered with trees painted in red and yellow tones.

Tourists traveling to Aomori always choose the route to Lake Towada and Oirase Valley. Lake Towada is not only one of the most picturesque lakes in Japan, but also the largest lake on the island of Honshu. The bright blue color of the lake is the result of clean water and great depths of the lake, the lake is the third in Japan in depth. By the way, this lake is the sixth most popular attraction in Japan by foreign tourists. More than 70 years ago, Towada National Park – Hatimatay was built there, and by mid-50s, this area has gained the title of the natural monument. In Aomori, you should also visit the excavations of Sanna-Maruyama – one of the greatest excavations of the Neolithic period (4000-5500 years ago). Nebuta Festival held in August is famous all over the country for its great scale and splendor of activities.

Numerous festivals and carnivals of “Matsuri” are held in different parts of the prefecture a couple of times a month, where not only the locals gather, but also foreign tourists. Fans of shopping will also appreciate folk art items, including wooden caskets and other products, covered with cherry tree bark, round lacquered trays and utensils, varnished woodwork inlaid with gold. There is a huge demand for silk fabrics hand-made according to old methods. Another place worth visiting is a town of Kakunodate, one of the most interesting samurai cities in Japan. 80 samurai houses are preserved in its original form. Today, the residence of the samurai is used as museums and restaurants that allow the visitors to experience the life style of old Japan.

It should be noted that in November 2011 the prefecture and the region demonstrated their tourism opportunities at Visit Japan Travel Mart in Yokohama. Now the organization on tourism promotion in the Tohoku will come to Vladivostok to participate in PITE-2012 and tourism companies will have a unique opportunity to get the most truthful and accurate information about visiting the region.

Japan is ready to assist Libya in the construction of a new state.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Koichiro Gemba, “We hope that an interim government will be launched soon and an environment to fully reconstruct the country will be in position”.

The Minister also said that Japan has received a request from the government of Libya to provide artificial limbs for victims. Japan is ready to provide this assistance free of charge via the relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said that the circumstances surrounding the death of Muammar Gaddafi required investigation.

Colville said at the press-conference that it was not known under what circumstances he had died, and there was a need to investigate it.

As DELFI reported, on October 20, a former Libyan leader, 69-year-old Muammar Gaddafi was seriously wounded and later died in the battle for his home town of Sirte.

His body was delivered to Misurata, the funeral will be held in secret, burial place is kept secret.

Global Post published video shoots taken shortly after the capture of Gaddafi. A wounded but still alive, Colonel, surrounded by enemies, is depicted on them.

During the recording the shouting “Do not kill him! We need him alive!” can be heard.

The Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Transitional National Council, Mahmoud Jibril, announced the official version of the death of the Libyan colonel on the results of an autopsy.

Gaddafi was dragged from the sewer pipe. He did not resist. When they started to draw him out from the fire, a bullet hit him in the right hand. Gaddafi was taken to a jeep then, and at that time he had no other injuries.

When they tried to evacuate the colonel, the car was caught in the crossfire, Gaddafi was mortally wounded in the head. Death came in minutes before the car arrived to the hospital.

Later, the doctor examining a body, said that Gaddafi had died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He also stated a wound to the head, but he said that the bullet had gone right through him and this wound was not fatal.

However, as noted, the virus could be loaded on the Chinese server from anywhere in the world.

An unknown group of hackers using a computer virus hit the internal network of the lower chamber of Japan’s parliament and was able to read e-mails of the deputies for a month, Reuters reports on Tuesday with reference to Japanese media.

Report about cyber attack on the internal network of Japan’s parliament came a month after when it became aware of the first recorded attack by hackers on the defense industry of Japan.

Then the computer network of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) has been hacked, which produces, in particular, ships, missiles and components for nuclear power plants.

In the next 5 years, Japan will spend about $ 150 billion for rebuilding infrastructure after the earthquake and tsunami.

Japan’s costs for rehabilitation of infrastructure of north-eastern regions devastated by the earthquake on March 11, 2011 and the tsunami, in the next five years can make up to 10-12 trillion yen – 126-152 billion dollars.

The corresponding figures are indicated in the draft prepared by the Japanese government.

As expected, the government will adopt the plan till the end of this month, the document is intended to serve as the basis for funding the third phase of reconstruction of the country.

The program, among other things, provides the construction of solar and wind power stations in disaster-affected areas.

Legislators did not consider raising taxes as a source of funding for restoration work, so this issue is not in the project, despite the fact that on 25 June the commission of experts recommended that the Government of Japan Cabinet should raise rates to offset future costs.

Earlier, the government experts proposed to raise taxes on income of legal entities and individuals, as well as sales tax, which total 80% of all tax revenues in the budget.

Recall on March 11, 2011, 9.0 magnitude earthquake and the tsunami destroyed the infrastructure of the north-eastern regions of Japan and knocked out the cooling system for nuclear reactors of “Fukushima-1″, which resulted in fires, explosions and several radiation leaks at the plant.

In general, about 24 thousand people were killed and went missing in the disaster, thousands of people were evacuated from the area adjacent to the plant.

According to preliminary calculations, the material damage caused by disasters is estimated at 209 billion dollars.
